Hamiltonstovare can compete in AKC Junior Showmanship in 2018

We are excited to announce that as of a decision made by the AKC board that all FSS breeds, including Hamiltonstovare, are eligible to compete in all AKC Junior Showmanship competitions starting in 2018. 

Junior Showmanship is open to handlers between the ages of 9 and 18 and focus on the ability of the junior to handle the dog. Junior Showmanship is open to ALL Hamiltonstovare including spayed/neutered and rescues. In order to compete Hamiltonstovare must be registered with the AKC FSS and the junior handler must have an AKC junior handler number. 

Obtaining an AKC Junior Handler number can be done by submitting this form to the AKC. 

Registering with the AKC FSS as an individual dog can be done by submitting this form to the AKC. If the dog is a rescue, please request a rescue letter from the Hamiltonstovare Club of America.
